No NEA a good thing

It's going to be odd not seeing Blytheville in the NEA Tournament this year, but by playing in the Arkansas Best Tournament instead, it should make the Chicks a better club. The competition at the NEA is not what it used to be. There's Blytheville and Jonesboro and that's it in the highest classification bracket.

Champion Chickasaws

The Class 5A third-ranked Chicks locked up at least a share of the 5A-East championship Friday night by routing Paragould, 41-8. Blytheville has a chance for its first 10-0 regular season Thursday night, when the Chicks host North Pulaski.
